Digital Services Librarian, Print Preservation & Digitization Manager – August 2022 to Present

I manage the digitization program for print collections on behalf of 350+ program partners at California Revealed. We are a California State Library initiative that provides free services and training to public libraries, historical societies, museums, and local heritage organizations in order to lower the barriers to digitization and expand the historical narrative of California and its diverse populations. Responsibilities include metadata creation and coordination, quality control and publication of digital files, collection management, digital asset management, community archive training and outreach, inventorying and processing print collections, and coordinating digitization workflows.

Dolph Briscoe Center for American History – Austin, TX


Assistant Archivist, Jack Brooks Digital Humanities Project – March 2020 to August 2021

Curated a digital exhibit documenting the career of Jack Brooks, a Texan Congressman. Selected relevant materials from the 860-foot collection during phase one of the project, writing item-level descriptive metadata, as well as thematic descriptions for the various topics and events. Phase two responsibilities included item digitization, and metadata coordination.


Bexar Archives Digital Asset Migration Intern – January 2021 to May 2021

Migrated digital assets and metadata from the Briscoe's legacy digital media repository and the Bexar Archives Online website to Islandora 7. Developed a Proof of Concept and project workflow to extract, generate, and structure metadata for the digitized originals and translations using legacy reference materials. Created and compiled documentation on the institutional history of the project, outstanding issues, and recommendations for future policies and procedures.


Assistant Archivist, University Archives – February 2020 to March 2020

Processed archival collections relating to the University of Texas at Austin, including administrative records and personal papers. Created, restructured, and updated finding aids using ArchivesSpace and various APIs. Worked a weekly reference shift, helping reading room patrons identify and request materials.


Assistant Archivist, Texas Jewish Historical Society – September 2019 to February 2020

Processed accessions to the Texas Jewish Historical Society Records, as well as all other Texas Jewish archival collections at the Briscoe. Engaged in regular conservation procedures, such as mold removal and collection rehousing. Created, restructured, and updated finding aids using ArchivesSpace and various APIs.

Black Diaspora Archive Intern – September 2019 to December 2019

Processed the papers of Brenda Burt, a Black community activist and campus administrator at UT Austin. Described and arranged the collection according to DACS and local description standards. Manually encoded the EAD finding aid. Rehoused the collection in appropriate containers.

Program Assistant, Exhibits & Major Projects – April 2019 to August 2019

Assisted with curation and production of exhibits in the newly remodeled gallery spaces. Worked closely with the Conservation and Special Collections departments to design and install long-term thematic exhibits and short-term gallery rotations, including an exhibit culminating a multi-year interdisciplinary research initiative funded by the Mellon Foundation. Utilized best practices in curatorial and conservation procedures.

Assisted with project tasks for special exhibitions and permanent gallery rotations, including curatorial assistance and research, as well as exhibit design and installation.

Beit Midrash Preparator for the Helen Diller Institute – December 2016

Arranged a special collection centered on Jewish life for the Helen Diller Institute’s beit midrash (“study hall” in Hebrew).


Verge Center for the Arts – Sacramento, CA


Development and Open Studios Intern – October 2015 to April 2016

Assisted with grant writing, donor outreach, and exhibit installation. Coordinated a benefit auction of contemporary and historical artwork. Organized open studio tours of artists in the Sacramento region. Managed the donor directory.


University of California, Davis – Davis, CA


Medical Records Digitization Assistant – June 2014 to October 2015

Digitized and archived medical records while the department transitioned to a digital platform. Updated current records and managed metadata using FileMaker Pro and recordkeeping platforms specific to the UC Davis Health System.


Archival Research Assistant – September 2013 to January 2015

Compiled, transcribed, and managed archival research materials relating to queer outsider culture in rural America. Worked with a variety of mediums, including photographs, microfilm, and digital records. Researched primary source material within various libraries and digital databases. Created descriptive metadata and wrote research guides.


Fraenkel Gallery – San Francisco, CA


Digital Archives Intern– July 2013 to September 2013

Restructured the image database using FileMaker Pro and Adobe Bridge. Updated photos on gallery website for a new plug-in. Digitized prints by Diane Arbus, Lee Friedlander, and other photographers. Assisted in lighting set up for gallery and video production. Prepared antique photo materials for remote digitization.
