I'm an archivist and graduate of the Master of Science in Information Studies program at the University of Texas at Austin’s School of Information, where I specialized in archival theory and practice, digital humanities, and museum studies. I currently manage the digitization program for print collections at California Revealed, a California State Library initiative that helps underfunded and underrepresented community organizations across California digitize, preserve, and provide online access to archival material. I'm passionate about creating accessible, user-centered resources that repair and correct historic inequities within archives and special collections.

Programming experience with mySQL, Python, XML, JSON, HTML, and JavaScript.
2 years of archival processing experience using DACS and local practices; well-versed in arrangement, storage, and access standards for a variety of materials, including books, manuscript materials, artwork, photographs, audiovisual media, and born-digital materials. Working knowledge of DCRM(MSS) and DCRM(G).
Experience processing archives in non-English languages including Hebrew, Yiddish, German, French, Russian, Spanish, Catalan, and Irish Gaelic. Advanced reading knowledge of French. Intermediate reading knowledge of Spanish.
Well-versed in the latest cataloging, metadata, linked data, controlled vocabulary, and digital asset management standards and practices for archives, including LCSH, DACS, EAD, METS, MARC21, MODS, IIIF, Dublin Core, and RDA/RDF. Knowledgeable regarding digital preservation standards such as OAIS and PREMIS.
Skilled in the implementation and use of a variety of software programs used by special collections and archives, including Aeon, Ex Libris Alma, OCLC, ArchivesSpace, DSpace, Islandora, oXygen, Fetch, Preservica, Archivematica, Jupyter Notebook, RStudio, Tableau, GitHub, Docker, OpenRefine, FileMaker Pro, and the entire Adobe Creative Suite.
3.5 years of digitization experience using flatbed scanners, Phase One cameras, Capture One software, and the Adobe Creative Suite. Working knowledge of FADGI standards and guidelines for digitization.
